Poloko holds a Bachelor of Social Science in International Relations and Public Policy from the University of Cape Town. Deeply passionate about community development and empowerment across Africa, he firmly believes in the potential of Africans to drive transformative change within their nations. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, he gained valuable experience in refugee resettlement as a Caseworker with CWS Africa, where he managed cases for adjudication by U.S. immigration officers, facilitating the safe resettlement of refugees in the United States. He also worked at the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, where he served as a Project Coordinator in the Modernisation and Digitisation unit. In this role, he was part of a team that coordinated innovative IT solutions to enhance and transform the department’s service delivery. He is excited to collaborate with communities and young Africans to develop high-impact, sustainable projects that promote lasting change. He is inspired by the community development approach embraced by CorpsAfrica and looks forward to working closely with locals to foster growth, development, and transformation. Driven by a desire to make the world a better place, Poloko is eager to join forces with others who share his vision of creating positive impacts in the lives of communities across the continent.
