This year marks an important milestone as we celebrate 15 years of CorpsAfrica.
What began as a simple but powerful idea has grown into an organization grounded in local leadership, community-driven solutions, and the belief that lasting change begins within communities themselves.
For the past 15 years, CorpsAfrica Volunteers have worked side by side with communities across Africa to identify priorities, design solutions, and implement projects shaped by local knowledge and long-term vision. Together with Alumni, staff, partners, and supporters, this work has helped strengthen communities, develop leaders, and support locally led progress.
Over the years, CorpsAfrica has supported community-led projects in multiple countries, trained and deployed hundreds of African Volunteers, built a strong and growing Alumni Network, and partnered with governments, NGOs, and local organizations. At the heart of this work is a development model that places ownership, leadership, and decision-making in the hands of communities.
Behind every milestone are people. Volunteers walking alongside community members. Local leaders guiding their own development. Alumni carrying the spirit of service into their careers and communities. Partners who believed in the vision and helped make it possible.
Beginning March 1, we will officially launch our 15th Anniversary celebration.
Throughout the year, we will be sharing stories from across our network, highlighting Volunteers, alumni, staff, partners, and country offices. We will reflect on community-led projects that continue to thrive and share lessons learned from 15 years of experience.
This milestone belongs to everyone who has been part of the CorpsAfrica story. Our communities, Volunteers, alumni, staff, board members, partners, and supporters have each played a role in shaping the past 15 years.
Thank you for believing in local leadership.
Thank you for standing with communities.
