Since the establishment of CorpsAfrica/South Africa in 2024, the program has trained and deployed 80 volunteers, including 3 Exchange Volunteers, to 54 rural communities across 2 provinces (North West and Limpopo), reflecting a strong and diverse cohort of young leaders contributing to locally driven development.
Working in partnership with communities, CorpsAfrica/South Africa Volunteers have supported the implementation of 32 community projects as of August 2026. 64.29% of completed community projects remain operational after volunteer service ends, showing that the model is creating lasting impact through locally led development.
The completed projects have directly reached 9,492 beneficiaries and address a range of locally identified priorities, including agriculture, economic empowerment, education, youth and sports, water and sanitation, and early childhood development.
Through these projects, Volunteers continue to support communities in identifying their own priorities, mobilising local assets, and implementing practical solutions that strengthen livelihoods, expand access to services, and create opportunities for long-term community development.
The Volunteers efforts have reached 9,492 direct beneficiaries and 33,049 indirect beneficiaries.

CorpsAfrica addresses two of Africa’s most difficult challenges: creating opportunities for youth and helping rural communities overcome extreme poverty and build resilience. We recruit motivated volunteers to live and work in remote, low-income areas in their own countries.
