Mikaela Raphael serves as CorpsAfrica’s Communications Manager. Mikaela completed her degree in geography from the University of California Berkeley, where she honed her interests in social justice, storytelling, and community development. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Mikaela’s work has taken her from grassroots community development initiatives in West Africa to rural Haitian hospitals, to the headquarters of international grantmakers where she oversaw grantmaking for diverse and complex humanitarian and natural disaster response programs. She is interested in how to use storytelling to promote social change and build sustainability within the social impact space.
