Pay It Forward Campaign

Picture
Picture
CorpsAfrica was started by a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer seeking to build on the extraordinary opportunity of the Peace Corps by offering a similar transformative experience to emerging leaders in Africa. This is an ambitious effort to create a powerful and prestigious community of young Africans through the kind of opportunity that we received through the Peace Corps. We want this effort to come from all of us in the Peace Corps community – paying forward the transformative experience to deserving young people across Africa.

Your support will inspire:
  • The understanding of poverty that only comes from living it
  • The satisfaction of implementing a small-scale, high-impact project in a rural, high-poverty community in their own country or another African country
  • The opportunity to form deep friendships that will last a lifetime
  • A purposeful career path, one that is committed to public service

"I am proud to say that I'm a monthly donor for CorpsAfrica. I donate because serving in the Peace Corps was the best decision I ever made. Ugandans would always ask me how they could be Peace Corps Volunteers too and I would hate to tell them, "you can't, you're not an American." CorpsAfrica's Pay it Forward Campaign gives me the opportunity to share that experience with young leaders across Africa and sustainably support long-lasting and impactful change. I strongly urge every RPCV to support CorpsAfrica and pay their service forward."
                                                 – Kyle Seeley, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Uganda 2014-2016) on the Pay it Forward Campaign
For a monthly donation of $10 or more, you will join a critical group of CorpsAfrica supporters that provide predictable, long-term support (investments in expertise, infrastructure and equipment, and growing the small but effective staff in the headquarters office). It is incredibly important that CorpsAfrica demonstrates that the RPCV community shares its vision and is a part of this effort, passing the baton to young people in the countries where we served.

As a thank you for your generosity, we are delighted to offer new monthly donors a small token of our gratitude, a one-of-a-kind CorpsAfrica mug! In addition, you will receive a monthly email with pictures and stories of CorpsAfrica Volunteers on the field to thank you (so much!) for being a part of the CorpsAfrica community.
