Safia Hamouche, currently an Intern at CorpsAfrica, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hunter College (2022) and is pursuing a Masters in International Relations at NYU. During her time at Hunter, she interned at the Office of State Senator Andrew Gounardes, where she engaged in community outreach. She researched and drafted policy memos, co-authored newsletters, and assisted with congressional events. Additionally, she interned at Women for Afghan Women, organizing voter outreach events and drafting policy memos on state funding for the Afghan refugee community in New York State. Safia has volunteered extensively to support the Moroccan community in the US and Morocco through fundraisers and on-site volunteering. Her ambition lies in furthering her career in the NGO sector, focusing on human rights protection in the MENA region.
