Volunteer Liaison & Communications Officer

Abdi Ahmed works as a Volunteer Liaison and Communications Officer. Prior to this position, he spent the last 12 + years as a Programming and Training Specialist for the Peace Corps Ethiopia. In this role, he provided technical, psychological and emotional support Peace Corps Volunteers to implement effective health program through planning, development, implementation and administration of Peace Corps Ethiopia’s programming activities for the Health project. Abdi is a public health professional with a Master’s degree in public health (MPH). He has over 16 years of professional work experience in program development, management, coordination, and implementation of several volunteer-related health programs as well as other development programs with various organizations, such as Counterpart International, Menschen für Menschen, and the government health sector, at progressive and advanced levels of responsibility and function.
