Biography

Ntshaykolo Benoîtte is a CorpsAfrica Volunteer serving in Kurunulaye Community, West Coast Region of The Gambia. She is also the Founder of the Rooted Beyond Borders Foundation, an initiative dedicated to empowering young refugees through education, advocacy, and community engagement. She brings a strong background in human rights advocacy, community development, and public service.

Benoîtte is a trained legal professional with experience as a Legal Intern at Temple Legal Practitioners (TLP) and as a Legal Assistant Intern with the Female Lawyers Association The Gambia (FLAG). She also served as a Human Rights Program Officer at African Union Watch (AU WATCH), where she contributed to human rights monitoring, advocacy, and program implementation. Her professional background further includes administrative and communications roles as an Administrator at Genau Gambia Ltd, Publication and Communication Officer at POIMEN Church Gambia, and Social Media Officer for Bishop Edward Botwe. She has additionally served as a Communications and Advocacy Support Intern at CUBE (Cube4STEAM), focusing on youth engagement in STEAM initiatives.

Benoîtte holds an LLB degree and has volunteered extensively with local and international non-governmental organizations. She is an active peace advocate, serving as a peace ambassador and a member of regional peace networks. She is bilingual, fluent in English and French.

Through CorpsAfrica, Benoîtte is committed to working collaboratively with communities to support sustainable development initiatives and to empower young refugees as agents of positive and lasting change.
