Biography

Tamandani Noella Chimowa is a passionate environmental health professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic. Driven by a strong commitment to preventive health, she has dedicated her career to addressing environmental issues that affect public health, particularly in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

She has gained valuable hands-on experience through her internship at Chikwawa District Hospital, where she supported community-led development initiatives such as the construction of toilets using locally available materials. As Mass Net Campaign Coordinator for Chikwawa District with Global Fund, she successfully managed the planning, coordination, and implementation of the 2024 treated mosquito net distribution campaign.

A key highlight of her career was serving as a Project Coordinator, where she honed her skills in drafting implementation requests, expense tracking, reporting, and processing liquidations after project activities. These experiences have equipped her with strong organizational, leadership, and project management abilities in the preventive health sector.

Tamandani Noella is now eager to take her skills and experience to the next level through CorpsAfrica, where she will contribute to a movement that empowers young Africans to drive transformative change in their communities. She is deeply passionate about community-led development and believes that sustainable, locally driven solutions are the key to lasting impact. Through CorpsAfrica, she aspires to work closely with rural communities to identify challenges, co-create solutions, and promote sustainable development for improved quality of life.
