Biography
Ludimilda Dasylva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of The Gambia and a Certificate in International Relations from Stratford College of Management. She is a dedicated student leader, climate enthusiast, and development practitioner with strong academic and professional interests in governance, youth leadership, and community-driven development.
At the University of The Gambia, she served as Chairlady of ECOMANSA Week under the Economics and Management Students’ Association (ECOMANSA), Welfare and Culture Minister in the 22nd Executive of the University of The Gambia Students’ Union (UTGSU), and an Organizing Committee Member for Students’ Week 2024 under UTGSU. Her climate advocacy experience includes participation in the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) 2024 as a participant and service as an Organizing Committee Member for LCOY 2025.
Ludimilda has been actively engaged in research and regional academic initiatives through the Economics and Management Students’ Association (ECOMANSA). She participated in the ECOMANSA International Research Trip to Guinea-Bissau in 2023 as a translator and enumerator, the ECOMANSA Research Trip to Senegal in 2024 as a participant, and the ECOMANSA Nationwide Research Trip in The Gambia in 2025 as a speaker during community outreach activities.
She has attended several leadership training and workshops focused on climate change, environmental impact, and youth participation. Her professional and service experience includes volunteering with Mercy Ships and working as a former staff member of Comium Gambia.
As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Ludimilda aims to work closely with host communities to advance inclusive, sustainable development initiatives. She also has a strong interest in global news and current affairs. A former athlete, she enjoys sports, adventure, and nature, which continue to shape her resilience and commitment to service.
