Abdoulaye Diallo holds a master’s degree in Geography, specializing in Environment and Development, which he obtained in November 2021 from Assane Seck University of Ziguinchor. Passionate about grassroots community development, he joined MyAgro as an agricultural trainer in 2022. Over the course of 12 months, he trained around 1,200 smallholder farmers in climate resilience, crop yield improvement, and crop management across 30 communities in the Kaffrine region of Senegal. He also participated in several campaigns, such as the Fourth Senegal National Census and the COVID-19 impact research by LASPAD (Laboratoire d’Analyse des Sociétés et Pouvoirs / Afrique-Diasporas). Abdoulaye is actively engaged in climate activism at the local level through the Ziguinchor Climate Club Association and at the international level through organizations like Youngo, the Climate Student Movement, SDG Youth, and the International Youth Conference. He has participated in numerous international conferences and forums, including the World Water Forum 9 in Dakar, the 4th Rencontre Francophone Légumineuse (RFL4), the FAO Global Symposium on Soil for Nutrition 2022, the Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC23 and ORFC24), and World Water Week 2022. As a 2024 CorpsAfrica volunteer in Senegal, he has been worked to facilitate the development of a cereal processing unit in the community of Malicounda Serere, introduced students to computer science, trained women in soap and bleach production, and promoted climate and citizenship education for children. After completing his service in Senegal, he embarked on another assignment as a CorpsAfrica Exchange Volunteer in The Gambia.
