Valentine Dushimimana was born in Rwanda. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Rwanda – Nyagatare Campus, College of Education. Before Joining CorpsAfrica, Valentine honed her skills in community development through club initiatives, such as Youth Impact Mission (YIM) and Females Solidarity Legacy at Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in 2018. These club initiatives consistently targeted vulnerable households living in extreme poverty. She facilitated the provision of clothing and hygiene sanitation and established kitchen gardens to reduce malnutrition in early childhood and reconstruct vulnerable old houses. Moreover, she provides advice to young women, empowering them to build inner confidence and gain knowledge about reproduction. Valentine was awarded the Certificate of Active Participation in the Beyond Success – Rwanda Leadership Program in November 2022. She is also certified in Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship skills (Akazi Kanoze) from Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in 2018. Her experience extends to business plan development and customer retention and management. She is passionate about community development, and she actively facilitates communities in remote areas to identify possible solutions with the resources available to them.
