Mostafa Essalai is community developer with over six years of professional experience working with local, national, and international organizations. In his most recent position, Mostafa served as a Homestay Coordinator with the U.S Peace Corps Morocco, where he successfully developed over than seven new host communities and prepared host families to support Peace Corps trainees during their community-based training in the Beni Mellal – Khenifra region. Mostafa also worked as a Language and Culture Facilitator with the Peace Corps in 2019, where he trained a group of new PC volunteers in Moroccan language, culture, and technical skills required for successful service. Mostafa’s international experience also includes serving as a program assistant with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. where he was seconded from the youth division at the African Union Commission. His primary focus was on developing and distributing communication materials to increase youth-related activities in the IPPF AULO and among stakeholders. Mostafa supported and promoted social media-related activities while working closely with program leads to generate activity reports, bulletins, briefs, and other communication materials. Mostafa’s previous journey with CorpsAfrica involved serving as a community development volunteer in Morocco, where he oversaw and ensured community ownership for an irrigation project funded by Rotary International that aimed to improve agriculture and potable water for surrounding villages in the High-Atlas Mountains. Mostafa also served as an exchange volunteer in Malawi, where he initiated programs on the prevention of HIV/AIDS, Cholera, and Malaria, and facilitated programs on nutrition, life skills, a healthy lifestyle, supporting people with special needs, and business skills. Mostafa’s passion for community involvement and his desire to equip CorpsAfrica volunteers with the skills needed to better support their communities motivated him to join this organization of excellence. CorpsAfrica is dedicated to making lasting impressions in the lives of all Africans it touches, and Mostafa is committed to contributing his expertise and experience to the organization’s mission.
