Biography

Greciano Hezekiah is a young and hardworking man from Dowa District, Malawi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Water Quality and Management from the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST). His academic and professional journey reflects his passion for providing sustainable solutions to improve community living standards. As the General Secretary of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) Water and Environmental Conservation Society, he organized WASH awareness campaigns and led outreach programs in primary and secondary schools which demonstrate his commitment to community education and engagement.

Greciano has diverse professional experience as a temporary field enumerator for the National Farmers Census and the Unified Beneficiary Registry. He also worked as an intern at the Dowa District Water Development Office where he collected and analyzed WASH data and mobilized communities on hygiene and sanitation practices. These roles have provided him with practical skills in data management, community mobilization and project coordination. He also co-led research on Village Savings and Loans groups at MUST and UNICEF, where he developed monitoring tools and authored findings which enhanced his research and analytical abilities.

Driven by his passion for serving communities, Greciano is eager to apply his skills in water quality management, WASH and community engagement to support development initiatives. He looks forward to working with communities to address their specific problems and implement long-term solutions that foster community growth and opportunity.
