Omar Jabang has four years of professional teaching experience in Keneba Upper and Senior Secondary school and is a seasoned entrepreneurship trainer, Business plan consultant, and certified business coach with Responsible Agriculture Investment. Over the years, he has trained and mentored individuals and groups to unlock their full potential, enhance performance, and achieve sustainable growth in their business ventures. Omar Jabang’s career journey spans with several organizations in the business development services area. He began his professional journey working with Innovators Spaces through International Organisations for Migration (IOM) from July to October 2020 as a business coach, trained 12 young entrepreneurs on the basic business skills and worked with International Trade Center- Gambia as Farmer Business Facilitator from September 2021 – April 2022 in Lower River Region training farmers on farming as a business. He worked for African Youth Entrepreneurship Academy (AYEA) as Business Development Officer and Business Coach (2019 To 2024). As a trainer, Omar provided personalized training module on Packaging and labeling for the youth and women with Global Youth Innovation Network from (12th April – 5th March ,2023).He offered Business Formalization training for informal businesses transitioning to formal sector with National Enterprise Development Initiatives(NEDI) in North Bank Region. He trained 30 women president representative ,Tumana Agency for Development on Value addition of agricultural produce and supervised them for three month mentorship program from (14th September – 14th December, 2023) and he worked with Gambia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in collaboration with International Labor Organization (ILO) as a business advisor for the business formalization digital platform from (October 2023- December 2024).He trained over five hundred Gambian migrant returnees on Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy with National Enterprise Development Initiative from June 2023 to December 2024.His workshops and training sessions are interactive style, practical insights, and focus on real-world application. In his role as a Consultant, Omar provides expert Business Development Service to ROOTS Project Youth based matching with Agro Alternative Solutions 3A’s consultancy firm from (1st December ,2023 To May 2024). He has experience in developing and delivering standard training curriculum on General entrepreneurship training and Agro food processing, preservation and marketing through the Vulnerable women and Youth Support Project implemented by National Enterprise Development Initiative. He has developed the six-month coaching framework on value addition techniques, packaging and labeling. As a volunteer worked with Community Action Support Association (CASA GAMBIA) as Capacity building, Advocacy and Development Assistant, supported the capacity building unit and developed the first ever mobilizing support and local fundraising coaching framework for organizations. Omar obtained his first degree from the University of the Gambia in Agricultural Science in 2023.He has won the National business plan competition organised by Gambia Chamber of Commerce ,Industry and Agriculture and pitching contest organised by National Youth Council IN 2023 NATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE AND FESTIVAL .
