Bubacarr Jallow is a dedicated community development expert, certified trainer in Sexual
Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and a passionate advocate for youth empowerment
and social justice. With over nine years of experience in social work and grassroots
development, he has led transformative projects across The Gambia in health, education,
environmental sustainability, and child protection.
He holds a law degree and professional diplomas in Geographic Information Systems (GIS),
Project Management, Conflict Resolution, Human Rights, and Advocacy. Bubacarr is a former
Regional Programs Team Coach for the Nova Scotia Gambia Association, where he mentored
youth to lead impactful community initiatives. He also served as a speaker at the World Health
Exhibition Conference, advocating for health equity and action against gender-based violence.
As a former CorpsAfrica/Gambia G1 volunteer, he currently supports Monitoring and Evaluation
and serves as Program Manager of the Youth International Leadership Institute Gambia
Chapter. His work includes borehole renovations, tree nurseries, climate change education, and
training over 100 individuals in eco-friendly solutions and 50 Child Protection Committees
nationwide.
Bubacarr , who is also a prolific writer ,is the author of the forthcoming nonfiction novel Maslaha:
A Price Paid for Being Quiet Over Injustice, which exposes the realities of gender-based
violence and societal silence in Gambian villages.
He is widely noted for his leadership, compassion, and commitment to community
transformation.
