Ndey Amie Jobe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Challenges with a focus on Biodiversity Conservation and sustainable food systems and is also a registered nurse. She is the founder of EmpowerHer GM, a youth-led NGO dedicated to empowering smallholder women farmers in rural Gambia through sustainable agriculture, sustainable food systems and agroforestry practices. To date, the organization has positively impacted the lives of over 200 women. With over four years of professional experience, Ndey has worked with various international organizations. She served as a Nutrition and Dietary Diversity Officer with Shelter for Life International, where she led nutrition education initiatives across multiple communities. She also worked as a Research Assistant for the School of Wildlife Conservation, contributing to studies on the state of the wildlife economy. An alumnus of the Charles R. Wall Young African Policy Negotiation Fellowship with the African Wildlife Foundation and the United Nations Environment Programme, Ndey has developed expertise in international environmental governance and biodiversity policy. She has authored several research papers and policy briefs, furthering her commitment to addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development.
