Pemphero Kilembe is a motivated young female with a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from The Catholic University of Malawi. Her passion for improving the well-being of people living in rural communities is rooted in her previous studies. She is passionate about being a part of the community, including working as a field officer for Innovations for Poverty Action, where she worked with women in rural areas. Due to her previous work experience, she has knowledge of working with rural communities, strong interpersonal skills, and enjoys conversing with others. Pemphero is not afraid to take on new challenges and loves sightseeing, reading novels, and writing in her free time. She is also very passionate about female empowerment and youth empowerment, especially in rural communities. Her CorpsAfrica service gave her a platform to work with people in rural communities and make some impact in their lives and she is so excited to do the same during her service in The Gambia.
