Biography

My name is Caroline Muema, and I am joining the team as an Accounting Coordinator.

I am a seasoned Finance and Grants Management Specialist with deep and diverse experience across all finance functions and grants management in Kenya and the broader East Africa region. Until recently, I served as the Senior Finance & Sub-Grants Officer at Mercy Corps Kenya, where I oversaw sub-grants management for partners across Kenya and the East Africa region. Prior to that, I held various roles in finance, grants, and administration across multiple organizations.

I take pride in driving transformational change through effective and efficient financial management of organizational resources. I am excited to join Corps Africa and look forward to contributing to the impactful and transformative work the organization is advancing across the continent.

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), as well as the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK). I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, meeting new people, and cooking. I am also a proud mother of three wonderful children (15, 10, and 4 years old).
