Mutuyimana Marie Claire was born and raised at Southern province in Muhanga district. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from university of Rwanda college of education. Claire conducted an academic internship at Bugesera in Eastern Province. In addition she did different short courses about problem solving for earning offered by Harambee Rwanda and SAP(Skills Acceleration Program) where it is for culturing skills and hard-working & SEP(Skills Extension Program) for empowering local communities for sustainable development offered by GTIDA (Global Transformers and Innovators for Development Ltd). She also took part in the training organized by AEGIS Trust about Peace and Values in education (PVE) where it was about Action for Sustainable Peace, Inclusion, Rights and Equality (ASPIRE). Claire also worked as a volunteer of Rwanda Red Cross since 2012. In high school Claire completed her studies at GS St. Joseph Kabgayi in option of Physics, Chemistry and Biology where she was a committee member in charge of students’ welfare at that school. She later joined CorpsAfrica/Rwanda and became a volunteer where she was glad to be part of her country’s development especially highly poverty communities, for her making use different approaches and techniques by making citizens priority and engaging them in decision making about their problems is for ensuring sustainable development for themselves. She believes in quote that says “If we are to make poverty history, we must have the active participation of States, civil society and the private sector, as well as individual volunteers”.
