Tamandani Mwase graduated from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), where she studied for a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Science and Community Services. During her studies in industrial attachment, she worked with the Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) in Nkhotakota as a field officer. Through this, Tamandani found an opportunity to facilitate child protection and early childhood development programs. In addition, she worked with young mothers, helping them understand entrepreneurship and positive parenting. As someone passionate about early childhood development, she attended a training with the SEN CARE MALAWI, a group of committed teachers, specialists, leaders, and parents who aim at creating new transformation and inclusive educational and therapeutic options for children with special needs. She believes that every child is beautifully unique and deserves the best care and support. She is confident that being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will help her have good exposure and the privilege to learn more through heart-driven service experience in rural communities. In her free time, Tamandani enjoys nurturing house plants.
