Chief Development Officer

M.K. Richardson brings over two decades of senior executive nonprofit experience to her role as Chief Development Officer at CorpsAfrica. Passionate about the transformative power of philanthropy and the efficacy of donor intent, she is a recognized expert on strategic planning and aligning financial resources to support mission implementation at the international, national, and local levels. She previously served as the Vice President of Development for Jesuit Refugee Service, an international humanitarian aid organization with programs in 58 countries. She has also led national media campaigns, produced a documentary, served as a communication lead for a successful U.S. Senate campaign, and led corporate social responsibility initiatives in the private sector. She began her career in public affairs with federal agencies, and for her work at NASA, she received the NASA/Goddard Public Affairs Award and the USGS Shoemaker Award for Communications. M.K. holds a BA in Communications from Virginia Tech and an MA in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is an active member of Chief, the Women’s Foreign Policy Group, and the International Association of Fundraising Professionals in Washington, DC.
