Biography
Salifu Salma is from Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana. She is a dedicated educator with a passion for community development. Salma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Diploma in Basic Education from the University for Development Studies.
After graduating, Salma completed her national service at Malhalia Islamic Junior High School in Tamale. As a development advocate, she served as an Associate at Lead For Ghana, where she taught Biology and worked closely with students to improve their academic performance. During her fellowship, she developed strong leadership, instructional design, and project management skills while fostering both academic and personal growth among her students.
In addition to her work in education, Salma is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. She serves as a Kasa Female Advocate at SWIDA (Savanna Women and Integrated Development Agency), where she advocates against sexual and gender-based violence and supports initiatives that protect the rights of women and girls.
Currently, she has joined CorpsAfrica, with the vision of contributing to sustainable, community-driven development initiatives. With her strong educational background, experience, and commitment to community growth, Salma continues to make meaningful contributions to the lives of others.
