Biography

Ruwaida Yakubu recently graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Sociology. She completed her National Service at Kinapharma Headquarters, where she worked as a Credit Control Officer, and later gained additional professional experience as a Deal Review Agent at Sunergy, a solar energy company.

Beyond her professional roles, Ruwaida has dedicated over 250 hours to volunteer work through YES/AFS programs and other initiatives. Her service has included engaging with local communities, supporting youth development activities, and contributing to projects that address education, child welfare, and sustainable solutions. She is especially passionate about helping young people access opportunities that enable them to grow and succeed.

In 2025, Ruwaida co-facilitated a session on Creativity vs. Career Paths at the Exchange of Ideas Conference in Senegal, where she collaborated with participants from across Africa to explore how creativity can thrive despite societal pressures. With her combined background in volunteer service and professional experience, she continues to build pathways that connect people, creativity, and community development.
