Volunteer

Nontobeko Radebe, 29, is a resilient leader dedicated to community development. Despite financial challenges that forced her to leave her Bachelor of Education program at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2014, she returned to her rural community and joined youth organizations, starting as a mentee and later mentoring others through National Youth Camps organized by the Department of Social Development. Determined to further her education, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies and History from Nelson Mandela University in 2024, where she also served as a Students’ Representative Council (SRC) member, advocating for unfunded students, and as an Africa Unite Peer Educator, promoting cultural exchange and social cohesion. After university, she entered politics as a Youth Coordinator in her subregion but later shifted her focus to community impact, joining CorpsAfrica/South Africa as a Volunteer in 2024. With strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for mentoring and cultural understanding, Nontobeko is committed to creating lasting change in her community.
