Mokwene Thabo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from North West University (Mafikeng Campus) and is currently undergoing Community-Based Training with CorpsAfrica. Passionate about Africa’s development in social, economic, and political realms, his drive was fueled by the distorted portrayal of Africa’s history and its portrayal as a “dark continent” reliant on colonization. Thabo believes, “I am an African not because I am black but because Africa exists within me.”
Thabo’s experience includes working as an assistant teacher at Lodirile Tswaing High School, Voters Roll Officer (2019) and Electoral Officer (2024) for the Independent Electoral Commission, and a Road Maintenance Worker (2020 and 2024) under the Expanded Public Works Programme. He joined CorpsAfrica to further his passion for volunteering and contributing to the development of Africa.
