Biography
Mareme Ndour serves as the Country Director for CorpsAfrica/Senegal. Prior to stepping into this role, she served as CorpsAfrica’s Director of Program Delivery and Policy, where she helped strengthen program implementation and organizational strategy across multiple countries.
Mareme holds a Master’s degree in Geography from Université Gaston Berger in Saint-Louis, Senegal. She has participated in two international research programs as a junior researcher and has co-authored several published scientific papers focused on vulnerable communities across Africa. She brings extensive experience in program management, as well as event and workshop planning, and has contributed to numerous international events where she facilitated collaboration and communication between a wide range of organizations. During her time at Université Gaston Berger, Mareme also worked as a tutor, supporting students in their academic development. In 2014, she led a survey of 400 households in urban areas in northwestern Senegal, contributing valuable research on local communities and development challenges. Mareme is deeply passionate about advancing women’s development through education. She co-founded a female development initiative where she led marketing and communications efforts, helping create opportunities for women’s empowerment and growth.
