Wonderful’s journey with CorpsAfrica began in 2022 when he served as a Cohort 6 Volunteer in Zomba, Malawi. During his service, he secured a $2,000 grant from CorpsAfrica and a £720 grant from Friends of Malawi to implement a WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) project at Makoko Primary School. The project involved the construction of six pit latrines and a girls’ changing room, directly improving sanitation and hygiene for 1,922 pupils. While in Zomba, he also collaborated with Chikonde Youth Organization on several community initiatives, including tree planting activities and supporting the construction of a classroom block at Kalambo Primary School.
After completing his service in Malawi, Wonderful continued his commitment to volunteerism by serving for a year in Senegal as an Exchange Volunteer. In Senegal, he worked with his community to implement a solar-powered water pump project aimed at improving access to clean and safe drinking water for 32 households in Keur Sanou.
In 2024, he rejoined CorpsAfrica/Malawi as a Human-Centered Design (HCD) Facilitator Intern. Under the supervision of a HCD Manager, he honed his skills in Human Centered Design by facilitating workshops for organizations such as University of North Carolina Lilongwe, and Network for Girls and Women with Disabilities in Malawi. He also trained various professionals, students, and entrepreneurs in HCD through the HCD Cohort Trainings.
Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Wonderful gained valuable experience as an Economist Intern at the Department of Economic Planning and Development under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, and as a Field Officer Intern at Lusubilo Community Orphan Care.
