Biography
Yollanda Nyirarukundo earned her Bachelor of Education in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Rwanda, College of Education. An institution noted for its rigorous programs and preparation of highly qualified teachers. She began her career with an internship at G.S. MASAKA I and through community service, where she demonstrated exceptional dedication. As a youth volunteer, her most impactful contribution came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she actively promoted preventive health measures and supported public well-being in Kicukiro District.
Yollanda later enhanced her professional skills by completing the Digital Training program, where she developed expertise in teacher wellness, engaged with a career-building toolkit, and earned a digital competency certificate, strengthening her readiness for today’s digital educational environments. She further augmented her analytical abilities by earning a Data Collection certification from Vanguard Economics Ltd, adding a research-focused dimension to her profile.
Driven by a firm belief in the resilience and leadership of women in development and their vital role in sustaining families and driving community progress. Yollanda is deeply committed to empowering women and youth. Her values align with her volunteer service at CorpsAfrica/ Rwanda, where she has applied her skills to support underserved communities. She now seeks to expand her impact as an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica /Ethiopia, continuing her mission to uplift African communities with compassion and determination.
