Biography
Rahmet Kemalu is a dedicated community advocate and passionate youth champion from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, driven by a lifelong desire to help others and create lasting change. With a degree in Midwifery from Addis Ababa University, she has committed her skills to improving the health and well-being of young people, especially those from marginalized communities.
Her work as a Youth-Friendly Health Service Provider allowed her to serve where it mattered most, bringing family planning, sexual and reproductive health education, and gender-based violence (GBV) response to underserved youth. Trained in GBV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), adolescent and youth health (AYH), leadership through AFLEX, and DHIS2 data management, Rahmet combines technical expertise with deep compassion. Her outstanding contributions earned her recognition from the Addis Ababa Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Affairs.
Rahmet believes that real change starts with listening, understanding, and empowering communities to lead their own solutions. Known for her leadership, empathy, and communication skills, she joined CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia to extend her reach and help communities design sustainable, locally driven solutions that improve lives. Her ultimate mission is to make a meaningful difference one person, one community at a time.
