Biography
Born in Addis Ababa, Betelhem holds a BSc in Midwifery from Arbaminch University and an MPH in Reproductive Health from Hawassa University. She has worked as a Graduate Assistant at Wachamo University and as a Midwifery professional at Dilla University General Hospital, focusing on maternal and child health. Her passion for community service led her to roles with Amref Health Africa and the Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD), where she gained experience in gender equality, reproductive health, disability inclusion, and youth empowerment. Betelhem is also an active volunteer with Healing Wings Ethiopia, providing free medical services to underserved communities. Currently serving as a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia Volunteer, she brings strong skills in communication, teamwork, monitoring and evaluation, and a deep commitment to empowering communities.
