Biography

Amanda Halima Rashid is a young and ambitious woman with a degree in Commerce Tourism Management from Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).

Her academic background in tourism management has instilled in her a passion for service-oriented approaches, prioritizing customer satisfaction and experience. Amanda’s experience as a call centre agent with Airtel has equipped her with valuable skills in communication, data management, and customer feedback. Her role has provided her with practical expertise in understanding people’s needs and wants.

Amanda is passionate about nature, culture, and people, with a strong interest in fostering tourism development in Malawi. She believes that Malawi has a wealth of untapped potential and treasures to share with the world. Amanda is committed to working towards the 2063 Agenda and promoting sustainable development through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Amanda aims to promote community development and sustainable practices. She is particularly interested in the CorpsAfrica Green Project, which focuses on restoring nature and promoting sustainable development using locally available resources.

Amanda sees Malawi as a rare gem with immense potential. Her dream is to contribute to showcasing the country’s beauty and promoting sustainable development, ultimately sharing Malawi’s treasures with the world.
