Biography
Ennita Dziwe is a passionate Gender and Development practitioner with a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development obtained from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. During her college years, she was an active member of the Bunda Gender Activist Club and Bunda Young Action Movement Club. In her third year, she was elected as a hostel representative, a role that helped her grow as a young leader.
Ennita currently serves as a volunteer with the Malawi Girl Guides Association (MAGGA), an organization that empowers girls and young women to reach their fullest potential. She also interned at Blantyre District Council as a Gender and Development Officer under the government internship program, where she took part in activities that mainstream gender, economically empower women, and fight gender-based violence. After the program ended, she continued to serve voluntarily as a Nutrition and HIV/AIDS Officer at the same council.
She has worked with the Centre for Agricultural Research and Development (CARD) as an enumerator, and as a sales clerk at the Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM). These roles exposed her to working directly with community members, helping her better understand the challenges and opportunities on the ground.
Ennita believes in equal rights, participation, and opportunities for all as a pathway to building more sustainable communities. By joining CorpsAfrica, she hopes to apply her knowledge, skills, and experience in the Gender and Development field to make a meaningful and equitable impact in the community she will serve. She also looks forward to gaining new skills, perspectives, and knowledge in community-led development, Asset-Based Community Development, and Human-Centred Design—approaches that CorpsAfrica uses to drive positive change.
