Biography

Joyce Chibwana is a dynamic and results-oriented development practitioner with a strong academic and professional background in community engagement, data analysis, and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Malawi (Chancellor College), majoring in Philosophy and has earned specialized certifications in Data Management with Statson Research Consultancy Group and Asset-Based Community-Led Development and Human-Centred Design through CorpsAfrica Malawi.

Joyce brings a diverse portfolio of experience to her volunteer role, having served as a Language Teacher at Zam Zam Omar Kala Academy, and a Research Assistant in the Theology Department at Chancellor College. Her work has consistently focused on intercultural communication, stakeholder coordination, curriculum development, and evidence-based reporting.

Her technical proficiency in tools such as Excel, SPSS, and Survey CTO complements her strong organizational and leadership skills. She has demonstrated the ability to manage boarding facilities, facilitate community mobilization, and support institutional reporting processes. Joyce is passionate about inclusive development and is committed to empowering communities through participatory approaches and ethical practice.

As a newly sworn CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Joyce is prepared to apply her training and experience to support community-led initiatives, foster local innovation, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development efforts in Malawi.
