Biography
Kefless Baloyi is a dedicated Social Worker and Gender Advocate committed to advancing gender equality, community development, and empowering marginalized groups, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on Project Management from DMI St. John the Baptist University, graduated in May 2024.
Her professional journey began in 2022 with volunteer work at M’mbelwa District Council’s Department of Gender Affairs, later serving as a Gender Officer intern, where she facilitated community trainings, prepared reports, and supported partners in promoting gender equality. She also contributed to the “Promoting Gender Transformative and Youth Inclusive Democracy in Mzimba” project under the Women Legal Resource Center (WOLREC), enhancing participation in democratic processes.
Kefless has worked with Save the Children, Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO), and the Malawi Red Cross Society, supporting programs on education for teen mothers, nutrition awareness, psychosocial support, and HIV/AIDS advocacy. She is skilled in community mobilization, report writing, data collection, and digital tools such as ODK.
