Biography
Lindah Kapenda holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Social Work with a minor in Development Studies from the Catholic University of Malawi. Her academic background has fueled her passion for sustainable rural development and improving community welfare.
Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, she served as an intern at the Mulanje District Council within the Social Welfare Department, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in public service and community support systems. Her commitment to grassroots development was further solidified through her volunteer work with the Makazi Foundation. As a member of their Community Leadership Team, she focused on providing holistic education, psychosocial support, and vocational skills training to youth and women—initiatives that empower communities to drive their own progress.
Lindah is thrilled to join CorpsAfrica because its philosophy of community-led, asset-based development directly aligns with her experiences and core belief that lasting change comes from within a community. She is eager to listen, learn, and collaborate with her community to identify and build upon their existing strengths.
