Biography

Monica Kayange is a disciplined, goal-oriented, and self-driven individual with a deep commitment to fostering sustainable community development. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Development Economics from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Monica gained valuable experiences, first at the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF), where she was actively involved in loan disbursement and recovery process. She later served as a Planning Intern at the Nkhata Bay District Council within the Planning and Development Office. During her tenure, she contributed to the monitoring of the Social Cash Transfer Programme (SCTP), managed data for the Climate Smart Enhanced Public Works Programme and supported the development of key strategic documents such as the Socio-Economic Profile (SEP) and the District Development Plan (DDP).

Her passion for serving others is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with empathy, purposeful action, and shared responsibility. Through her role as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, she sees an opportunity to broaden her perspective, gain valuable insights, and strengthen both her personal and professional skill set while making a lasting contribution to the community she serves.
