Biography

Patricia Chinthambi is a driven and ambitious individual with a strong background in environmental management, disaster risk reduction, food science and data collection. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Technology and majored in Food Science and Technology from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). Patricia recently completed a one-year internship with the Environmental Affairs and Disaster Risk Management Offices at Salima District Council, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in training and capacity building, community engagement and participation, project implementation and stakeholder collaboration. Additionally, she worked with the National Statistics Office (NSO) on the National Census of Agriculture project, conducting data enumeration and contributing to the collection of vital agricultural data.

Patricia’s areas of interest include sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and community-based natural resource management. She is passionate about working with rural communities to develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges. In her free time, Patricia enjoys hiking, reading, and volunteering for local environmental initiatives.

CorpsAfrica will help Patricia leverage her skills, experience, and passion to drive meaningful change in rural communities. She believes that the CorpsAfrica service will provide her with a unique opportunity to develop her leadership skills, build her network, and make a lasting impact in the communities she serves.
