Biography
Raisa Chisala graduated from the Catholic University of Malawi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science (Development Studies). Raisa is passionate about contributing to development initiatives, she has professional experience in both government and community-focused organizations.
She previously worked as a Statistician with the Ministry of Education, where she was involved in data collection, cleaning, analysis and reporting to support education sector planning and decision-making. In addition, she served as a Peer Educator with the Forum for AIDS Counseling and Training (FACT), where she focused on raising awareness among youth about sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention.
Raisa has developed skills in research, outreach and advocacy, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and fostering inclusive participation in development initiatives. She is particularly passionate about education, youth empowerment and sustainable community development and thrives in collaborative environments that value learning, innovation and social impact.
