Biography

Sarah Banda holds a degree in Environmental Science from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. She is passionate about sustainability, community development and climate change adaptation. Before joining CorpsAfrica, she worked as government intern at Mwanza District Council under Environmental Affairs department, ensuring sustainable development and safeguarding the environment at the local level.

She also volunteered at Lilongwe district council at Land Resource Conservation department, promoting the sustainable management of land and soil to support agricultural productivity and environmental protection. Sarah also possesses valuable research experience having worked as a temporary research assistant/enumerator with LUANAR -CARD, National Statistical Office and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). Sarah at her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, learning new skills and participating in community activities that foster learning and collaboration. She values teamwork, empathy and inclusivity.

Sarah is excited to be part of CorpsAfrica because it offers opportunity to learn, share skills and to work directly with communities, listen to their needs and co-create solutions that drive positive change while growing personally and professionally.
