Biography
Sarah Lenaseyian is a graduate of the Technical University of Kenya, where she earned a Bachelor of Technology in Surveying Technology. She also holds a certificate in Data Science from the African Leadership Group. Passionate about advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Sarah has contributed her skills and expertise through various organizations and initiatives.
She served as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Busia, Kenya, where she facilitated community conversations, trainings, and collective problem-solving using Human-Centered Design and Asset-Based Community Development approaches to support communities in leading and sustaining their own development.
Sarah is the Founder of The Green Village Initiative, an organization that empowers indigenous communities in environmental conservation. Her commitment to climate action was recently recognized when she was selected to represent Kenya as a Young Forest Champion under a program by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Her professional background also includes roles as a Quality Assurance Officer with IPSOS, where she ensured data integrity and reliability, and as a Data Enumerator with the International Rescue Committee. She has also worked remotely as a transcriptionist, collaborating with AMREC (Adaptive Management & Research Consultants) and Productive PlayHouse.
Sarah is a member of the Global Youth Forum, a platform advocating for the achievement of the SDGs. She is currently serving as an Exchange Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Malawi, where she continues to drive impact while fostering pan-Africanism.
