Biography

Tamandani Lihaka is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology and Climate Science, bringing a solid academic foundation to her work in environmental and climate-related fields. Her career journey reflects a strong commitment to practical application of her knowledge, demonstrated through her experiences in both project management and meteorological services.

Tamandani has experience as a project intern at Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Malawi. In this role, she was instrumental in the functions of project execution. Her responsibilities included developing project plans, which involved creating timelines, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively. She honed her interpersonal skills by facilitating effective communication and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring project goals were aligned and met. A key part of her contribution was her ability to write clear and concise reports, documenting project findings and providing actionable recommendations.

Eager to practice the skills she’s acquired, Tamandani joined CorpsAfrica, to serve the communities and her country by being a major force in leading community led development. She is excited for the experience the service will give her and happy to learn about the wonderful ideas and potential that local communities are yet to offer.
