Biography
Ally Hussein Mohamed is a Disaster Management with a Bachelor of Science in Disaster Mitigation and Sustainable Development from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He also holds certifications in Environmental Impact Assessment, Basic Counselling, and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Emergencies.
Through the Kenya Red Cross–Kilifi County, Ally has played a key role in disaster response and recovery programs, including the 2023 El Niño and 2024 MAM floods, integrating health, nutrition, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and livelihood support for vulnerable communities. As a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Male Champion, he advocates for Gender-Based Violence prevention and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) among Adolescents and Young People (AYP). Passionate about climate action, peacebuilding, and community service.
Ally is currently serving as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, committed to fostering positive mindset change towards community development using approaches such as Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), Community Led Development (CLD), and Human-Centered Design.
