Biography
Caroline Gatwiri Mungathia is a dynamic communication and journalism professional from Kenya, driven by a passion for Pan-Africanism and community empowerment. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Journalism from Maasai Mara University, Caroline has built a strong foundation in digital marketing, public relations, and community engagement. As an alumna of the U.S. Embassy’s International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) program, she has gained valuable experience and networking opportunities that enhance her skills in media and communication.
Currently, Caroline is furthering her growth as a mentee with Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Kenya, deepening her expertise in community development. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, she is committed to the Community-Led Development (CLD) approach, believing in the power of indigenous solutions and community-driven initiatives to address local challenges. Caroline’s work is guided by a deep respect for African perspectives and a commitment to co-creating positive change that is owned and led by the communities she serves.
