Biography
Cynthy Kenani is a Finance, Data Science, and Cybersecurity professional with a Bachelor of Co-operative Business (Finance) and CPA (Intermediate) certification. She is a Data Science Fellow at Stanford Medicine, specializing in precision medicine and cloud computing. Besides that, she is a graduate of the Women Techsters Fellowship (Microsoft/Tech4Dev) in Cybersecurity, complementing her expertise in digital safety and protection.
Professionally, Cynthy has served as a Data Analyst and Cybersecurity Expert at Niftecs. She has also volunteered extensively with the Initiative for Sustainable Community Development (ISCoD), where she contributed as an Environment and GBV Officer, a Reproductive Health Outreach Volunteer. Beyond this, she has been a plastic reuse and recycling champion with Precious Plastics Kisii (PPK), reflecting her strong commitment to climate action and environmental advocacy.
Her passion lies in leveraging finance, data, technology, and cybersecurity for social good. She integrates these disciplines to advance digital safety, gender equality, community health, and environmental sustainability. As a member of the Kenya Girl Guides Association (KGGA) Young Leaders, Cynthy has been actively engaged in mentorship and leadership initiatives. She has volunteered in reproductive health programs empowering young people with knowledge and life skills for HIV prevention, care, and treatment, while also dedicating time to educate communities on responsible technology use and digital safety practices.
