Biography

Johnmark Annan is a community development professional who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning and Management and is certified in Project Management in Wildlife Conservation by WildTeam UK.

With extensive experience working with rural communities in Makueni and Machakos Counties, Johnmark has developed a strong passion for community empowerment. He has led advocacy initiatives across diverse sectors, including Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), peace and security, good governance and social accountability, anti-corruption, climate change and environmental conservation, and education.

He previously served as a Fellow with Teach for Kenya and has contributed to developing successful grant proposals in response to various calls from organizations, including the European Union, Hivos Southern Africa, and the UNDP.

Johnmark currently volunteers with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, where he works with local communities to co-create sustainable solutions. He applies community-led development models, including Human-Centered Design and Asset-Based Community Development approaches, to help communities unlock their full potential, strengthen resilience, and drive long-lasting impact.
