Biography

Nelius Wambui Ngure is a passionate and dedicated community development enthusiast with a strong foundation in public policy, administration, and grassroots engagement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy and administration from Kenyatta University, equipping her with the expertise to design and implement initiatives that foster sustainable change.

She has developed strong competencies in community mobilization, interpersonal communication, public engagement, and teamwork, complemented by skills in data management, problem-solving, and capacity building. Her ability to adapt quickly, work collaboratively, and lead group initiatives has enabled her to address community needs effectively and drive positive outcomes.

Currently serving as a CorpsAfrica/Kenya Volunteer, Nelius partners with communities to identify their priorities and co-create solutions using Community-Led Development, Asset-Based Community Development, and Human-Centered Design approaches. Her work emphasizes inclusivity, respect, and empowerment, ensuring that projects are both impactful and sustainable.

Guided by the belief that development should be people-driven, she is committed to creating spaces where communities are heard, valued, and supported to realize their full potential.
