Biography
Purity Kendi Gikundi is a dynamic and mission-driven professional dedicated to advancing community well-being through service, development and education. Her academic journey at Egerton University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Kiswahili, has equipped her with a profound appreciation for cultural narratives and the power of human connection. This foundation allows her to approach development with a unique blend of historical perspective and empathetic communication.
Purity’s commitment to community service was forged during her impactful volunteer work at the Somec Wellness Centre. This experience solidified her passion and provided a platform to apply her skills in a real-world setting. Currently, as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya she is expanding her expertise in transformative methodologies such as Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Community-Led Development (CLD).
Her professional ethos is rooted in the belief that true progress is achieved when communities are empowered to lead their own change, with a focus on teaching and skills transfer.
