Biography
Jean Claude Bazambanza was born and raised in rural Rwanda, an experience that shaped his strong commitment to empowering rural communities through sustainable and inclusive solutions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Rural Development from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Food Sciences and Forestry, where he built a solid foundation in community engagement, social impact, and digital inclusion.
From 2022 to 2024, Jean Claude served as a Digital Ambassador with the Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), where he supported grassroots communities in data collection and promoted digital literacy. He also completed an academic internship at the Gisagara District Office in the Social Development Unit, contributing to social registry programs designed to strengthen social protection systems.
Since 2021, Jean Claude has actively served as a Youth Volunteer, dedicating his time to mobilising and empowering communities. He holds certifications as Umutoza w’Intore (Civic Leadership Trainer), in Digital Skills Foundation, and in Post-Harvest Handling—credentials that reflect his diverse expertise in leadership, technology, and rural development.
Guided by the belief that true skills development begins at the grassroots, Jean Claude lives by the principle that he was born to serve, not to be served. With this philosophy, he remains committed to driving inclusive development, fostering resilience, and inspiring innovation within communities.
