Biography
Clarisse Mukeshimana was born and raised in Rwanda. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from University of Rwanda-College of Education Rukara campus. She is professional in teaching special needs and mathematics. Additionally, using sign language and providing first aid as red cross Volunteer.
Moreover, she has experience of 3 months of internship in teaching mathematics and using sign language at school of inclusive HVP Gatagara Huye. She is motivated to serve as a catalyst, listener and facilitator in rural community to make effective impact in the community. She aims to improve sustainable development of especially youth in the community. She is passionate to encourage youth being skilled about first aid and giving it to those in need of it.
Clarisse serves as CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Gicumbi district, where she is implementing Community-Led Development (CLD), Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and Human Centred Design (HCD) approaches. These approaches make people participate actively towards development and protect the achievements.
Clarisse is courageous and hard work to contribute to sustainable development goals (SDGs) especially through facilitating locals to graduate from poverty, promoting gender equality, saving, preparing balanced diet and hygiene. She is very excited to experience this amazing journey serving and remain committed to community blending scientific knowledge with community skills, knowledge, attitudes and values.
